This year's Air Jordan 11 release will apparently be inspired by the Bulls' legendary 72-10 season.

The exact details surrounding the sneaker haven't been confirmed, but there are plenty of rumors at the moment. Most descriptions of the shoe have it as sort of a "Space Jam" look with red branding–there are Photoshop renderings of a colorway like this floating around at the moment, but no actual images (the above is not an actual photo of this year's Jordan 11 December release). Early talk says that the mesh on the upper will be replaced with leather.

Remember that Michael wore the Jordan 11 during the epic Chicago Bulls season in question.

The Air Jordan 11 "72 10" release date is Dec. 19, and the remastered sneaker will retail for $220.

UPDATE 5/27: The first teaser images of this year's '72-10' Air Jordan 11 Retro for the holiday season via @retros_77. While the whole shoe isn't revealed, the shots hint at a black-on-black look with a premium leather build, glossy patent overlay, a blacked out '23' on the heel and an embossed Jordan logo on the heel as opposed to stitched. It isn't much, but it's enough to get a feel for the upcoming release, and teasers mean full photos are around the corner.
